This is about making sure the coach has the necessary qualifications to do the job. Selectors are very clear here when they expect the coach to have good qualifications to support their business and coaching experience. The majority state clearly that they expect the coach to be a qualified psychologist or have a lengthy coaching qualification. Not just a self-appointed advisor.

Oxford Psychologists Press in UK and Human House in DK now have this extended psychometric report ready for us to utilise. For newcomers, MBTI® is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (the original one, before JTI).

In some cases you can assist by asking the client to describe a famous person he or she feels like when behaving in the situation. Then, together you can investigate the characteristics of that person, seen through the eyes of your client.

Worldwide Association of Business Coaching (WABC) has researched and defined business coaching as: ‘the process of engaging in regular, structured conversation with a “client”: an individual or team who is within a business, profit or nonprofit organization, institution or government and who is the recipient of business coaching.
